“For Spring 2012, we were inspired by Deauville in the Twenties—sporty and polished with an emphasis on special details. There’s an ease to proportions-raised, below the knee or ankle-length hemlines, drop and natural waist dresses and lightweight knit layers. It’s all mixed with feminine details like raffia, crochet, ruffles, embroidery, layered chiffon and sequins. Colors evoke the seaside: coral, seafoam and sunflower play off classic navy, ivory and deep red in floral and riptide stripes. Accessories are a melange of raffia totes, tiny heels, men’s I-inpsired spectators, long beaded necklaces, oversized stone earrings and colorful and embellished eyewear.”
